Step 3: Install WordPress on SiteGround

To get started, to click the SETUP SITE button

Next, you will be moved to the following screen, where you have three options: New Domain, Existing Domain, and Temporary Domain. If you have no domain yet, then click the New Domain or click the Existing Domain if you have the one already. In my case, I go with an Existing Domain since I have one already.

Next, enter your domain name without HTTP protocol and then click on CONTINUE.

You will get a short warning popup as highlighted below, that says the domain name you wish to add is not registered with SiteGround. Hence the DNS entries to updated respectively. In the coming steps, we can see how to point the DNS settings to SiteGround. Now, you can ignore this message and click on CONTINUE.

In the next screen, we have a choice of selecting either  Start New Website OR Migrate Website. For a fresh setup, select Start a New Website or to transfer existing blog/sites, select Migrate Website. I go with Start a New Website.

Next, select the WordPress Application

Next, enter a valid email address and create a password in the Installation Details section, which is the credentials to access your blog, and  click on CONTINUE as shown below:
